Free COVID-19 Test Kit via the USPS
The U.S. government, through the United States Postal Service (USPS), has been distributing free at-home COVID-19 test kits to households across the country. This initiative, first launched in early 2022, was designed to help Americans monitor and control the spread of COVID-19, especially during periods of heightened infection rates.

In September 2023, the Biden administration revived this program in response to the rise in COVID-19 cases due to new variants. Households were again eligible to receive a free set of four rapid at-home tests, delivered directly to their doors. To order the tests, you could simply visit COVID.org and provide basic shipping details.

Beware of scammer sites. The test kits are absolutely FREE (you don't even need to pay for shipping), so you'll never be asked for bank or credit card details.
